Tea for Two

Tea for Two celebrates the iconic experience of afternoon tea at The Peninsula Hotel.

Drawing inspiration from the sumptuous treats on offer, a group of dancer-choreographers work with Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation Director Lindsey McAlister to create a homage to the experience!

Join them as they take you on a fresh, fun and mouth-watering journey from the exotic tea collection to the traditional Classic Afternoon Tea experience, from the fizzy bubbly to the delectable pastries and desserts.

All the movement in this performance is devised by the young artists through collaborative workshops, where they become heavily involved in the creative process. They are given a variety of different stimuli, such as music, visuals and poetry and then are asked to create a physical response. The director then pieces the individual segments together (rather like completing a jigsaw puzzle) to create a cohesive final piece which represents all the performers and their ideas.
